Shared accounts

Here you can read more about shared accounts.

With a shared account you can share expenses and experiences with other Lunar users. You can comment on transactions, add color and images to the account, react with likes and emojis, and receive a notification when any of you use your cards.

Anyone with a Lunar account can join a shared account, but only certain plans allow you to create a shared account. You can read more about what’s included in your Lunar plan here.

  1. Click ‘Wallet’ in the bottom menu bar

  2. Click ‘+’ in the upper right corner

  3. Select ‘Shared account’

Good to know

  • You order cards and make transfers to and from the shared account in the same way as our other accounts. Read more about card ordering here, and about transfers here.

  • All participants can open a digital card for a shared account. Physical cards can be ordered depending on the card limit included in the participant’s Lunar plan.

  • The account owner is responsible for overdrafts and fees. Read more about overdrafts and fees, here.

  • Lunar assumes that all participants in shared accounts, both account owner and participants, have agreed that everyone may spend the money in the account. Lunar isn’t involved in any other specific agreements that the account owner and account participants of a shared account may have beyond joint responsibility.

  • If the account owner cancels their payment plan, the shared account will automatically be converted to a regular extra account once the notice period has expired, while the account’s participants are automatically removed from the account. Please note that an extra account comes with a fee, see our price list here.
