An extra account is an account in addition to your primary account. Perfect for you who want to split your finances for travel, savings, food expenses or other everyday needs.
Open an extra account
Click ‘Wallet’ in the bottom menu bar
Click ‘+’ in the upper right corner
Select ‘Bank account’
Start by naming the account
Then click ‘Continue’ and follow the steps.
You should now see a confirmation notification in the app.
Close an extra account
When you close your account, all physical and digital cards linked to the account are blocked and the remaining balance is automatically transferred to your primary account.
Click the extra account you want to close
Click ‘More’ and select ‘Details’
Scroll down and click ‘Close account’ and follow the steps.
Before you swipe your finger from left to right over ‘Yes, close account’, make sure to read through all the information. You should now see a confirmation notification in the app and the account is closed immediately.
Number of extra accounts you can open
The number of free extra accounts you can open depends on your Lunar plan. You can read more about what’s included in your Lunar plan on our website, here.
If you want to open more extra accounts than what’s included in your plan, a monthly fee applies and the charge is deducted from your primary account. Read more in our price list, here.
Right of withdrawal
You have a 14-day right of withdrawal when you’ve opened an extra account. If you choose to close the account within these 14 days, the fee you paid for the extra account will be refunded to you, provided the account hasn’t been used.
