Invest
Via Lunar Invest, you can save in listed stocks and ETFs. The accounts are opened and administered by our partner Saxo Bank – a Danish bank supervised by the Danish Finanstilsynet, just like Lunar.
You can choose between two account types:
Share and fund account (Aktie och fondkonto, AF) – a traditional account for investing in stocks and ETFs. With this account, you’re responsible for declaring your trading via Lunar Invest to the Swedish Tax Agency.
An investment savings account (Investeringssparkonto, ISK) – ISK is a flat-rate taxed account where you don’t need to declare each individual transaction, the tax base is automatically reported by Saxo Bank to the Swedish Tax Agency.
Risks of Invest
The value of shares and ETFs can both increase and decrease, which means you may lose some or all of your invested capital. There is no guarantee of return when you invest. The prices of securities can be very volatile in the short term.
Protection of your assets
Since your investment account is held with Saxo Bank, their protection applies – not Lunar’s. Here is what covers your assets:
Uninvested money (account balance) in your Saxo Bank account is covered by the Danish deposit guarantee (Garantiformuen) with up to 100 000 EUR, which corresponds to approximately 1 000 000 SEK.
Invested securities (shares and ETFs) are covered by the Danish investor protection with up to 150 000 DKK, which corresponds to approximately 215 000 SEK.
